As the project Superintendent and SSHO my Duties are as follows;
Review the schedule the sub-contractors have submitted and ensure it complies with Pacific Tech Construction schedule per the contract progress schedule.
Review and submit to the government all sub-contractors shop drawings, Product Data, Certs and samples per the submittal process and ensure the proper installation per contract drawings and specifications.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions of all Sub Contractors
Ensure the Sub Contractors has proper material on site per Plans and Specs with the submittal process. Review all of the sub-contractors work plans.  Answer the sub-contractor RFIs on site per the RFI process and submit to the government if necessary. Coordinate the product installation between trades and monitor sub-contractor progress. Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards & all Government work rules
Coordinate contractor equipment deliveries with Building managers and periodic inspections by governing authorities.  Submit daily reports, job cost reviews & review Sub Contractor reports and two week look ahead schedules. Attend or present contractor coordination meetings, QC three phase construction meetings, engineer meetings, RFI meetings, Safety Meetings and all other on site meetings (Job site audits).               

Quality Control Manager Duties

1. Approve all Shop Drawings and submittals for conformance to the contract requirements.  Keep a status log and Testing Plan up to date and record copies of the approved submittals. Forward Submittals to the Contracting Administrator. Forward submittals that require Government to the designated party for appropriate action for certification.

2. Inspect the work performed on a continual basis for compliance with current drawings and specifications. The QC Manager has the authority to issue a stop work order on any item or work feature pending satisfactory correction of any deficiency in that work, particularly if the defective work is to be enclosed, is to support further construction, or will be inaccessible if further work proceeds. The QC Manager has the authority to direct removal and replacement of any defective work.

3. Perform, supervise, or coordinate as required the reviews, inspections, and tests to be made by other members of the Quality Control Organization.

4. Inspect and certify that all material and equipment delivered to the job site complies with the approved submittals.

5. Ensure that all required test and/or inspections are performed, and report the results in the daily Contractor Quality Control Report.

6. File Certified Contractor Quality Control Reports with the Contract Administrator. The reports are to cover prime and subcontractor personnel and equipment on the site, idle equipment and personnel, material deliveries, weather conditions, work accomplished, inspections, and tests conducted, results of inspections and tests, deficiencies found, and corrective action taken.

7. Maintain as-builds at the job site, a set of full-size contract drawings shall be marked to show any deviations that have been made from the contract drawings.

8. Recommend to the Project Manager removal of any individual from the project who consistently fails to perform work properly.

9. Report any subcontractor who consistently does not conform to the contract drawings and specifications.

10. Keep a copy of the approved QC Plan, with up-to-date approved revisions, on file at the job site.

Field Manager on Metropoliton Club Refit Project

Tyler Mechanical's job scope was to remove and replace the heating and domestic water boilers, replace the chill water cooling system with a condenser water cooling system, replace all water cooled units with new heat pump units, remove old chill water piping and replace with new condenser piping. Remove and replace existing cooling towers with new towers. This project was located in the heart of DC one block from the white house, therefore all crane lifts had to be permitted and scheduled one month ahead of time. This project was completed with out the club shutting down or losing heating or cooling to any of its floors or office spaces. All shut downs were coordinated with the least amount of down time or inconvenience to the club members.

 

Field Supervisor on George Mason University Housing Project

The project scope for Tyler Mech. Consist of installing the plumbing and mechanical systems for six buildings. Five dormitories, six stories tall with 22 units on each floor, and a two story fitness and dining center.

Responsibilities include the supervision of personnel installing Dom. Water, Storm and Waste Water, Heating and Chill water systems for the above buildings.  Additional duties are supervision of the Rigging, Welding and fitting crews installing HVAC equipment and piping in accordance with the contract plans and specifications.

The Package #6 Project was a six year-phased project. The mechanical part of this contract was Thirty Four-Million Dollar Capital Improvement Project for M.W.A.A.  My responsibilities included the review of mechanical applicants for hire, time keeper, Welding inspection, and supervision of personnel installing Dom. Water, Storm and Waste Water, Heating and Chill water piping.  Additional duties were supervision of the rigging, Welding and fitting crews installing HVAC equipment and piping in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. The QA and QC of all field welds and equipment/materials received.

 

HVAC Piping Foreman for the Dulles Airport Concourse B 4 Gate Expansion Project.

Responsible for the welding and placement of piping to the chiller and heater coils.

Responsible for the welding, rigging and fitting crews to ensure the proper placement of the piping as per plans and specifications.  Also, responsible for the testing of the on-site welders; visual weld inspection and maintain the weld log book; maintained the weld map of all welds on the project.
